The full form of BTS is Bangtan Sonyeodan which Is a Korean band of 7 members that was formed in the year 2010 in Seoul and debuted in 2013. The band is also commonly known as Bangtan Boys. The word Bangtan Sonyeodan in Korean means “Bulletproof Boys Scout”. Out of the seven boys Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook are known by their real names whereas the other four boys are known for their on-screen names. They are called V, RM, J-Hope, and Suga.

They started as a hip-hop group however with time they have adopted a wide range of genres. They are famous because their lyrics touch the lives of many for eg: They are known for songs written about mental health, Bullying in School, Issues of school-going youth, or individualism. The songs written by them are also often on the youth facing problems in Korea.

The first album of BTS is 2 Cool 4 Skool. The songs in the album became so popular in South Korea that they have won various International Awards and also were awarded for best song/album of the year and Best Debuted Artist of the Year. The band has performed worldwide and has done 3 world tours in barely 4 years. They are known for their live performances and world tours.
So far, the band has released four albums and they are also known for the most search boy band in the year 2019.

BTS became the first Korean group to receive certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the first South Korean act to reach number one on the Billboard Global US

They have sold over 20 million albums on the Goan Music Chart and back in 2019, BTS is purportedly worth more than $4.65 billion to South Korea’s economy each year, or 0.3 percent of the country’s GDP. They attract one in every 13 foreign tourists that visited South Korea and were cited as one of the key acts in boosting global music sales to $19 billion in 2018.

BTS in an interview stated the reason and the inspiration while making their music is Eminem, Kanye West, Drake, Post Malone, and Danger.
BTS are also influenced by many literary, psychological, and philosophical mediums.
