No, all living beings do not need the same kind of food.
The living beings are classified into three categories depending in the type of food they eat.

These categories are as follows:
(i) Herbivores: Animals which eat only plants and plant products are known as herbivores. For
example: cow, elephant, rabbit, horse, etc.
(ii) Carnivores: Animals which eat other animals are known as carnivores. For example: lion,
tiger, lizard, etc.
(iii) Omnivores: The animals which eat both plants and animals are known as omnivores. For
