The Story of the Road talks about how the road is sleeping and quiet in the morning, and how it is being awakened by birds, newspaper boy, vegetable man, etc. The road gets annoyed by the continuous caw of the crow which wants to wake up the road. But the road is already wide awake.

  1. What sounds do you hear on the road in the morning?

 

Ans. In the morning, we hear the sounds of the chirping birds, newspaper boy’s bicycle, vegetable man, and school children.

 

  1. What is the vegetable man selling?

 

Ans. The vegetable man is selling peas, carrots, cabbages, potatoes, cucumbers, and radishes.

 

  1. Why is the road annoyed with the crow?

 

Ans. The road is annoyed with the crow because the crow is continuously asking it to wake up, whereas, it is already wide awake.
