  1. Why was there great joy in Nina’s house?

 

Ans. There was great joy in Nina’s house as Nina’s aunt was getting married. So they were all preparing to go to Delhi to attend the wedding.

 

  1. Why was Nina worried?

 

Ans. There was a sparrow’s nest on the bookshelf in Nina’s room in which there were two

baby sparrows.They had begun to get their feathers and it made them very hungry. So, Nina was worried that if they went, the whole place would be locked. Then, papa and mama sparrows would not be able to feed their babies.

 

  1. What did mother suggest?

 

Ans. Her mother suggested that they would leave the window open and remove all the things from Nina’s room and lock the door on the outside. So the house would be perfectly safe and papa and mama sparrows could come and go freely, too.

 

  1. What did Nina find when she came back from the wedding?

 

Ans. When Nina came back from the wedding she found that there were two plump little sparrows flying all over the room. It made her really happy.
